AS5050 - Rescucender (tm)

A rope grab designed to minimize damage to the rope under shock loading. The jaw has a set of shallow, slightly rounded teeth -- more like grooves. They create just enough friction against the rope and minimize damage in shock loading. The curved cam interface -- against which the cam pushes the rope -- helps prevent rope damage by allowing the Rescucender(tm) to slip when overloaded. A spring loaded action for the cam is achieved from resistance of a small diameter cable that attaches the jaw to the body (this can be clipped off if the user prefers a free-running action)Made in USA.
